Lake Village is located in the small Florida community of Nokomis, just outside of Sarasota. The benefits of living here are numerous, beginning with the Florida sunshine. The Bobby Jones Golf Course in nearby Sarasota has two 18-hole courses and a 9-hole course. You can play either the American or British course.
Lake Village is 1.6 miles from Nokomis Beach and Park, which is comprised to 22 acres with 1700 feet running along side the gulf of Mexico. This area is known for its stunning white sand beaches that are ideal for shelling and beachcombing. All types of other beach activities are available such as swimming, diving, fishing and boating. Also, only 14 miles away is the country’s #1 beach ---Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota. Dr. Beach made this determination when he listed his top 10 beaches in 2011. The bright, white sands of Siesta Key are 99% pure quartz and always cool to the touch.
From I-75, head West on exit #195 (Laurel Rd.) and continue west to highway 41, turn north. Turn east at the first light (Spanish Lake Rd.) then make the first possible left onto Village Dr. Hometown Lake Village is about 200 yards ahead. |
